ACUM Fees for Copying Rights
The new copying rights fees since 1.7.2009.
The new fees do not apply to reprinting of books that were published prior to July 2009 and / or to licenses that were signed prior to this date. The previous fees will be collected for these books.
Following is specification of the types of publishing and the graded fee according to the types of uses and number of works published:
All prices do not include VAT.
Note: no linkage may be created between a work or works and a commercial brand or any other marketing goal.
1. Fees for copying works and duplicating them in print (book, booklet, etc.) or on digital media (CD-ROM – in graphic format only):
The fees refer to copying a work for an edition of up to 1000 copies.
[For a CD-ROM – up to 500 copies]
If the edition is printed in more than the above number of copies, the royalties will be calculated on a proportional basis, according to the size of the edition.

Example of payment calculation: a first edition of a book is published with 1000 copies, and it includes 35 entire works (lyrics only). The customer will pay according to the following calculation: 2,500 NIS (25 works X 100 NIS for each work) + 500 NIS (10 works X 50 NIS for each work) = 3,000 NIS + VAT. The total sum will be divided equally between all the works in the book.
Note that publications that were published with more than 7,000 copies in the first edition will be given discount rates, as follows:

These discounts are not applicable to newspapers and magazines.
2. Fees for newspapers, children’s newspapers, magazines and periodicals
The fees refer to editions of up to 30,000 copies. Royalties will be calculated on a proportional basis according to the size of the edition.
